I have added Ashish page as part of India project for Asiad medallist. After extensive research, have gathered all the info and am in the process of getting citations for the 'Early life' section. It is ok to delete it till we get reliable references. But the career section with all reliable citations was completely deleted. Since there is no talk page for user Rowing007, I am posting here to revert the edit and restore career section.
thanks and regards, David. Davidindia (talk) 07:31, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
Chunks of relevant, informative sections are being deleted: Request to revert
[edit]Hi, Rowing007 talk contribs - Thanks for reviews and clean up. But you have been removing relevant career data and other BLP info, which is properly sourced to reliable, reputed secondary sources. Request you to give a valid reason, or refrain from deleting chunks of useful information which was reviewed by experienced editors. There are five rowers with the same name 'Ashish' who were part of the Indian teams in different events and right now there are three. So this article has gone through a lot of changes. But suddenly, huge portions are deleted. I hope you will understand. Thanks a lot! David Davidindia (talk) 03:13, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
Rowing007 has been repeatedly deleting sourced info
[edit]Rowing Federation is a neutral body and is the official federation. All his career records are quoted from their official website, Also references to major Indian newspapers like Hindustan Times are being deleted. Kindly refrain from doing this as I have spent days to research and get the citations.
I am not sure how to deal this. Hope some experienced editors intervene. The articles of all the eight Indian medal winners are being tampered with. Ashish did not win a medal. This is not an individual event. Ashish was part of the team of 8 that won the medal. So giving the names of the team is not irrelevant, that is what the reader looks for. I request Rowing007 talk contribs to discuss here on the talk page instead of simply deleting info. Thanks David Davidindia (talk) 19:18, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Davidindia: please stop pinging me and reinstating unsourced, sloppily written and irrelevant content about these non-notable people. I am waiting for my PRODs to run their course before pronouncing myself further on this issue. Namely, next Monday I will take further action. Regards. Rowing007 (talk) 19:23, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. Can you please state what is the irrelevant content. All the career events are properly sources to independent secondary sources. Thanks and regards, Davidindia (talk) 19:25, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Davidindia: Like I mentioned in the edit summary, the onus is on you to prove the relevance and properly source the content in order to justify its inclusion. Now, like I said above, I am not engaging on this matter any further until such time as my PRODs have run their course (i.e., next week). Rowing007 (talk) 19:27, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
