  • ... that the fungal pathogen Aschersonia aleyrodis can control silverleaf whitefly under greenhouse conditions? Source: "The study demonstrated that A. aleyrodis isolate A005 is an effective biocontrol agent for B. tabaci control under laboratory and greenhouse conditions."

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: Done.
Overall: Article is new enough and long enough. The hook is very interesting because of its misleading implications. Assuming good faith on offline or paywalled academic sources. QPQ has been done, and all looks good. BuySomeApples (talk) 21:24, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As I wrote in my edit description, the "Description" section is mostly just undefined technical vocabulary. "Stroma" (to me as a zoology major) indicates connective tissue. I'm assuming here it's a specific term in mycology, but that usage is not documented on Wikipedia if so. Some of the terms are links, but ....

Also, maybe a drawing or photo would make the otherwise-nebulous description more useful.

Finally (and not related to being too technical), lots of things are missing here, such as, oh, ecology, reproduction, life cycle, economic importance. Should this article be reclassified as a stub? IAmNitpicking (talk) 14:12, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@IAmNitpicking: I have removed your tag from the article because I think it is a pity to permanently disfigure an article with a tag of this sort. If you can find a source for a more simple description or a suitable image, please add them to the article. I wrote the article because I thought the pathogen was interesting but the sort of details you would like, in non-technical terms, are not readily available. "Disfigure"? "Permanently"? What is the purpose of an encyclopedia? IAmNitpicking (talk) 10:35, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
