[edit]What is the source for the name that is used now? After carefully evaluating the sources in the article and multiple secondary sources from search results. I plan to move the article to Asad Ullah. Any objection? IQinn (talk) 11:18, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- In this suggested rename you have asserted that you have "carefully evaluated" multiple secondary sources from search results. Please start "showing your work". Please stop claiming you have reviewed multiple secondary sources without stating what those sources area -- and linking to them. There is an overhead for renaming articles, and it should only be done for good reasons. Geo Swan (talk) 13:31, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes i carefully checked and evaluated sources and put time into that. Have you checked the new name suggestion in the search engines and additional sources? Could you please answer my question and explain and give the source for the name that is use now? IQinn (talk) 15:18, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- The article clearly states: "Joint Task Force Guantanamo analysts assert his name was 'Assad Ullah'. But in interviews with reporters with the McClatchy News Service in 2008 he said his name was 'Asadullah Jan'." You assert: "Yes i carefully checked and evaluated sources and put time into that." Well, you seem to have skipped checking the article and its own references.
- In your careful check and evaluation you also seem to have overlooked that the Guantanamo analysts assigned the name Asad Ullah to two Guantanamo captives. Geo Swan (talk) 16:57, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- For the first part: Your guess is wrong. Of course i saw that and have checked the sources in the article as i said.
- For the second part: Your guess is also wrong. I know that as well. ISN 912 is the other individual with the same name that spent time in Guantanamo.
- The articles of the individuals with the Guantanamo ISN 47 and ISN 912 are both named incorrectly at the moment. IQinn (talk) 00:30, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
