Celtic
[edit]Hello guys, Artur Boruc recently put pen to paper a permanent deal with Celtic, for three-and-half years.
- Indeed, and I thank you for your contribution. Though next time, a source is considered excellent! --Kilo-Lima 20:25, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]Is there not any more Trivia Known about him, it seems like a lonely section —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thedec (talk • contribs) 12:04, 22 March 2007 (UTC).
Fair use rationale for Image:Boruc.jpg
[edit]Image:Boruc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bayern Munich
[edit]Did Bayern Munich ever presented him with offer ?--Blain Toddi (talk) 09:56, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- There were some rumors about the transfer to Bayern, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stated in the end of March 2008 that Oliver Kahn would be replaced with Michael Rensing and Boruc was not considered. Tymek (talk) 14:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
AC Milan
[edit]Should we add the information that AC Milan is interested in Boruc? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.71.131.103 (talk) 09:47, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Not unless there's a good cite for it. Is it just summer season transfer gossip? If Wikipedia was to include every rumour of every footballer's possible transfers it would be full of tall tales of things that never happened. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 09:53, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I understand, but I'm pretty sure Boruc is on Milan's scope. This is the latest article I could find about it: http://wiadomosci.onet.pl/1747574,14,1,1,,item.html , it's Polish but i'll translate the most important parts: AC Milan is negotiating with Celtic about an eventual transfer fee for Artur Boruc. This is confirmed by FIFA agent Sabatino Durante. However, Boruc competes with PSV goalkeeper Heurelio Gomes and OCG Nice goalie Hugo Lloris, so Boruc's transfer is not in Milan yet. But it shows that AC Milan is indeed quite interested in Boruc, and it's not just summer gossip. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.71.131.103 (talk) 22:19, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Here's another article, this time in english: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football-news/scottish-football/2008/05/17/ac-milan-set-to-bid-10m-for-celtic-goalkeeper-boruc-86908-20420637/ .
controversy
[edit]Not much point in having any of this in the article. This is a factual encyclopaedia page about a person. Who writes this ridiculous stuff ? Propose remove it now. Somebody might start a page about Boruc Controversy with a redirect if they wanted but pointless having this irrelevance here. Debatable whether it would qualify as being worthy of having a page in any event. PalX 09:34, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Half of bio pages here have the controversy subarticle. I do not really know if it makes sense to start a separate page Boruc Controversy. Tymek (talk) 18:19, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
There is more written about his controversies than his playing career, and he's played at a World Cup and European Championships and the Champions' League. It's pointless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.94.192 (talk) 18:00, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with user User:Palx and the above unsigned comment. Boruc is widely recognised (or at least was widely recognised, till recently) as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. This article says more about religious intolerance in Scotland than it does about Boruc himself. I will attempt to remedy this over the next few days. --Nicholas (talk) 20:35, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well the obvious remedy is to write more about his footballing exploits, not necessarily to remove reliably sourced content about his off the field exploits. Rockpocket 20:47, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Fiorentina
[edit]He's already signed for Fiorentina
http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2010/07/12/2022474/official-fiorentina-sign-celtic-goalkeeper-artur-boruc —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.124.41 (talk) 12:06, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
"Pending a medical" - until the transfer is completed he is still a Celtic player. Pointer1 (talk) 12:38, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Changes to lead.
[edit]I reverted some of the alterations performed by DColt. I invite him to discuss his changes rather than reverting back to them.
- I changed "footballer who plays as a goalkeeper" to "football goalkeeper". This is less verbose and tidier.
- I removed "Currently a Free agent". Wikipedia is not a dated newspaper, so Relative time references should be avoided. The reader doesn't know when "currently" was written, so it is unhelpfully vague.
- I removed "He also is notable for having played for Celtic. " This is expressing an opinion. He has played for three other clubs, what's so specially notable about having played for Celtic?
