Questionable band listings
[edit]There are some awfully minor current bands listed. I don't want to start a general inquisition, but let me start with one: what have Charlie Drown done to merit mention in an encyclopedia? I've never even heard of them heading a bill at a local club. -- Jmabel | Talk 09:06, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- Later: I'm still not sure they are "notable", but they are certainly talented. - Jmabel | Talk 07:19, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Northwest Crafts Alliance?
[edit]I see Northwest Crafts Alliance and the Best of the Northwest art show have an entire paragraph here. I wouldn't have thought them even worth a mention. Are there any objections to removing? If so, could someone give an indication of why they are notable (e.g. are there members who are, individually of encyclopedic notability)? - Jmabel | Talk 07:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
glass blowing
[edit]It seems like there should be some mention of Dale Chihuly in the article... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.113.98.113 (talk) 00:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
911 Media Arts
[edit]I don't see 911 Media Arts Center mentioned in the article. I will have to get back to this, unless some other kind soul would like to add it. Thanks. - Hydroxonium (talk) 02:07, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Cut from article
[edit]===Ryan “Henry” Ward ===
Since 2008, building walls in Seattle, Fremont, Wallingford, Capitol Hill, West Seattle, Georgetown and beyond have become the home to murals by the artist who signs his work simply as "Henry." Ryan “Henry” Ward uses traditional house paint to illustrate large-scale, melodic scenes that might otherwise be found in childrens' books, but which have much darker undertones for most viewers. To date, "Henry" has painted over 100 indoor and outdoor murals, which may make Ward the world's most prolific muralist. However, he is not without his detractors, including local art critic Regina Hackett, who described his work as “Happy Times after the lobotomy.” Following this, Ward named an art show after the critic’s rant. Ryan "Henry" Ward, who goes by his natural middle name is also known for canvases and for his live painting in front of an audience, which he often does with a local band of artists he dubbed the Predators of the Wild.
Ryan “Henry” Ward may deserve an article of his own, and I encourage someone to create that, but no one artist, especially one who is borderline for notability in his own right, deserves lengthy handling in an article on the arts of the entire city over its entire history. And most of the citations here are weak (e.g. gilmanpark.wordpress.com is just someone's personal blog). - Jmabel | Talk 00:18, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Fun things to do in Seattle
[edit]In Queen Anne, there is a space needle that's tall and has restaurants inside. You can also go to a place to get your steps in and you can run around the gasworks park. If you have a kid the fun places you could take them could be
