Confusing table

[edit]

I'm not a fan of these tables for discographies. They are not an improvement. For one thing, they are difficult to edit, especially for living musicians whose discography will continue to grow. This particular table is confusing because it combines leader albums and albums with others ("Leading artist or band"). It's an eyesore, confusing to read. Information is presented flatly rather than hierarchically. A mess. I'm grateful that anyone works on the jazz project, but there's so much else contributors could do rather than tamper with an existing discography that had no problems with it. Try to find articles where actual work needs to be done rather than doing what I consider useless prettifying that is counterproductive. One more thing: Let's please get past the assumption that more information is always better. Example: We usually exclude compilations. I spend a lot of time deleting useless information.Vmavanti (talk) 01:29, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
