That article states Barcelona International Exposition in 1912. Cannot retrace if that is correct. Can this be checked? Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 09:57, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Influence

[edit]

Surely there must be other examples of his influence than just Guillermo del Toro ? -- Beardo (talk) 21:32, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article quality and coverage

[edit]

By any Wiki standard, this article on Arthur Rackham is detailed and well written. However, a great many parts of it are uncited, and the coverage overall is very incomplete. This is to the extent that it does not provide an accurate understanding of Rackham's style, influences, and artistic reception. It also over emphasizes his role as an illustrator without contemplating his position as a major artist of the period. There could also be some coverage of his aesthetic influences, and where he fits into a tradition of British painting and illustration. While my sources are not readily available for citation, I have sought to edit the section that defines his style, because it is very inadequate as it is. We cannot truly call his style European Nordic, although it is tenable if it is better contextualised. 82.43.88.129 (talk) 15:25, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
