[edit]

In the article about arthur lithgow, it says he was a director of the Antioch Shakespeare Festival located in ANTIOCH, OHIO. That is not right. The Antioch Shakespeare Festival, actually the Antioch-Toledo Shakespeare Festival was located at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The company did productions of Shakespeare in both locations, but it was only in Yellow Springs that ALL Shakespeare's plays were presented for the first time in the United States. All the sonnets were also all read from the stage, sometimes during intermission and sometimes as a costumed thing before or after the production. The stage was a replica of the Globe stage and was erected each summer in front of the main Administration Building on the Antioch Campus. I'm very sure about this because in the Fifties, I was an aspiring actor from Springfield, Ohio, a town about ten miles north of Yellow Springs and I worked on the Festival backstage and had a few walk-ons as a spear chucker. I still remember vividly a performance of MACBETH where Lithgow did the Macbeth part and one night during the performance, there was a storm and the lightning and wind and all the elements happened almost on cue. But, it all happened in Yellow Springs, Ohio, not Antioch, Ohio. I know because I was there. thanks Honeybunny123 (talk) 20:59, 17 September 2008 (UTC) jim mitchell sources: personal experience[reply]
