[edit]Arthur H. is an artist that I stumbled across through a couple of friends who had a copy of his album " Arthur H." It was on the strength of this that we all began to delve deeper into his music and found that it was practically impossible to find any of his recordings here in the UK. We all decided to see him last year in Bordeaux and were blown away by his humour, presence and his fantastic band. It was Arthur H. himself that turned a great visit to Bordeaux into an amazing one. He played for over 2 and a half hours and we came out of the gig determined to clear out any record shop we could find of all his cds!
The UK really does'nt know what it's missing with this guy. To prove the point we went to the Olympia in Paris and saw his 40th birthday gig. With many guests, including his father, we were treated to an event. It was a very special concert and one that lasted nearly 3 and a half hours. The music was superb, his humour and his intimacy with the audience really unlike anything we have experienced. If the only way to see Arthur and his band is to go back to France to see them then it's a small price to pay to come from Scotland again!
Thanks for two fantastic shows. When are the next dates?
