Death

The biography in the National Academy of Sciences, Biographical Memoirs V.60 (1991), Chapter: 2. Arthur Clay Cope, pp. 17-30,^[1] Arthur Clay Cope Biography says: "It is chemistry's tragic loss that he died suddenly at the age of fifty-six in Washington, D.C., where he had gone for American Chemical Society and National Academy of Sciences business."

I have not found a more specific biography or obituary, but the story goes that he died from asphyxiation, choking on some food while at dinner. Perhaps something about his death can be added to the main article (but maybe not the choking story). AdderUser (talk) 01:59, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
