General defects in the article
[edit]Much of this article is taken verbatim from the National Parks Service web site. This is not a problem in and of itself, but the section quoted (without note of that fact) is taken out of the context of the page it's on. Hence, in the original context, but not in the article, it's clear:
- what "third director" means
- who Stephen Mather is
- who Albright is
- what "assistant director" means
Moreover, there is no claim of notability. Bongomatic (talk) 12:31, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I did a significant rewrite to fix up the page. Clearly, this guy is notable. He was the third director of a major U.S. Government Agency (that now employs ~15,000 people). I'll remove the notability flag soon if there is no objection.Brholden (talk) 03:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Since the page has been cleaned up and there was no objection (and he had a mountain named after him by the NPS), I'll remove the notability flag. Brholden (talk) 04:01, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
