Why such a big break?

[edit]

Why was there such a big time gap between series 4 and series 5? Is this something that should be mentioned in the article? 86.9.201.247 (talk) 22:31, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article move/split

[edit]

I've moved (i.e. renamed) this article are split it into two. I found it odd that Armstrong and Miller (radio show) had an article all to itself but the comedy duo and their early TV show shared a single article. The structure now is:

After such a major change there are bound to be minor problems that crept in, so please check the articles and edit as appropriate. If anything needs deleting but it's no longer relevant can you make sure that does appear in the relevant article. Thanks. -- Nick (talk) 19:16, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title-tattle

[edit]

There seems to be a fair amount of confusion over the titles of this series and the BBC one. Having checked contemporary listings in The Times for this series, the Paramount Comnedy Channel screenings of Series 1, the Channel 4 Series 1 compilation, and the C4 Screenings of Series 2 are all as "Armstrong and Miller." The Channel 4 screenings of Series 3 & 4 are "The Armstrong and Miller Show." It therefore seems appropriate that we stay with "Armstrong and Miller (TV series)" for this page.

However, in contrast, the BBC both bills (BBC Genome) and has the onscreen title for its series as "The Armstrong & Miller Show," yet the page for it is "The Armstrong and Miller Show", and "The Armstrong & Miller Show" is a redirect to it. I have therefore moved the former to the latter, where it should be. Nick Cooper (talk) 13:26, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is not quite right. The Channel 4 show was also referred to "The Armstrong & Miller Show" by Series 3. Just so everyone is aware why this issue exists, it's because of the DVD releases. The BBC show (also titled "The Armstrong & Miller Show") and Channel 4 show, are considered independent entities. So Series 1 of the BBC show (aired in 2007) see here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armstrong-Miller-Show-DVD/dp/B001DDP5M6/. While Series 4 of the Channel 4 show (aired years earlier in 2001) see here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armstrong-Miller-Show-Complete-DVD/dp/B000GNOG60/. Each channel sees their series as completely separate... despite the same name.
