$50 million
[edit]There is extensive information (with sources) in The Birth of Israel: Prague's Crucial Role "Fortunately for the Jews, the Syrians could only pay in British sterling, a currency at that point economically and financially weak. In contrast, the Jews could pay in dollars, raised by Golda Meyerson (later Meir) in the United States, from her fund-raising tour of seventeen cities. Championed by former U.S secretary of the treasury Henry Morgenthau, Jr., chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, Meyerson eventually raised some $50 million.[23]" Keith McClary (talk) 04:30, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello to whom it may concern, I was about to add a citation to the negotiations details, until I realized it requires additional review. Here’s a link to a photo of the Israeli delegation meeting with the Czechoslovakia government officials to negotiate the arms deal, which so happened to include my grandfather as well. Please find enclosed link and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, -David Link: https://www.unreich.org/1940s-photo-archive?pgid=jz38jx9u-4c7bdbf1-aad9-49a3-8b75-7971dc11f2fd Dmbaron (talk) 13:01, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Dmbaron. Where would you like the citation added? What article text would this photo be verifying? Generally, these requests are done in the form of "change X to Y". Thank you, TGHL ↗ 15:39, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Can I add a reliable book source on exactly this topic? [1] Relingnat (talk) 07:03, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Actualcpscm (talk) 09:27, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Would like to add the following passage: After Stalin changed course in the Middle East against Israel, the Czechoslovak communist regime tried to distance itself from the arms supply (which, however, happened with earlier Soviet approval and encouragement). It seems that the Slánský Trial was aimed, among other things, at those Czechoslovak communist officials who were involved in arms deals with Israel.[2] Relingnat (talk) 07:40, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
