I downgraded the assessment of this article from Start-class to Stub-class because it only has two discrete cited works. Further investigation proves that one source is a translation of the subject's own writing, which makes it a primary source. While primary sources can be used to verify facts, such as events, dates and places, they do need to be used with caution and interpretation of such sources needs to be avoided. This French writer may well be notable in his own country, but reliable on-line sources in English appear to be few and far between. What comes to the top of a Google search seems to be various translations of the author's major work, originally published in 1976. At this stage, I am going to assume the subject is notable enough a writer because of the number of on-line sources featuring translations of the author's book. I suspect there are more reliable pre-internet off-line sources about this person awaiting discovery in French or other languages. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:11, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
