Overall: Technically, the sources in ALT0 say "a miracle" and "miraculously", rather than "miraculous". This may not be a major issue, as these are obviously different forms of the same word, but the exact word isn't "miraculous", either.
- Nice work PMC. Before I approve this, I just have one question above about the use of quotation marks around the word "miraculous" in ALT1. Epicgenius (talk) 13:40, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Epic. Rather than try to tangle with MOS to figure out if I can do what I was doing, how does this sound?
- ALT2: ... that fashion journalists joked that it was "a miracle" that no models fell while walking the runway in the 12-inch armadillo shoes designed in 2010 by Alexander McQueen?
- Can also sub "wrote that it was" if "joked that it was" feels too editorial. I suppose I could also de-quote, since at least two sources directly used variations on "miracle" to describe their relief. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 21:06, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Premeditated Chaos: ALT2 works fine for me, as does ALT1. Epicgenius (talk) 22:53, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]There's a mix of British and American English in this article. Which way is it going to go, BrEng, per MOS:TIES? Spicemix (talk) 00:43, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Feel free to make it British. It's not on purpose, I'm just Canadian and I can never stick to one or the other :P ♠PMC♠ (talk) 01:30, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Wait, WHAT??
[edit]I would think, as a featured article, we might want to add at least a single picture of someone wearing the shoe. Red Slash 21:44, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- My thoughts exactly. The picture showing Lady Gaga but not her feet is rather pointless. --2003:C0:8F16:F000:1585:CB43:3373:D7DE (talk) 21:53, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- There aren't any freely licensed photos of that, and as there are already two non-free images in the article (the shoe itself and the sketch), I don't think we can justify adding a third. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 22:29, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
