Inclusion criteria for notable past players
[edit]Criteria used to restore this section for teams at the NPL-WA level were players that:
- played for the club at a youth or senior level;
- had represented the Australian national team;
- had amassed over 100 games with Perth Glory FC in the A-League;
- have their own Wikipedia article where this information is easily cross-referenced;
- had represented senior national football teams (where they were not Australian players).
Several major contributors to the article appear to have conflicts of interest
[edit]This article appears to have been edited heavily by multiple users with strong ties to the club; many of these users have introduced significant amounts of POV and puffery to the article. As a result, the article is heavily SOAPBOXed and reads more like a flyer than an encyclopedic article.
Here are some contributors to the article I've identified as likely to have a COI, although there may be more:
- Stellaxpete (talk · contribs): Edits refer to the club in a very positive light, and in one instance refers to the club as "Our club" (example edit here). This user also appears to have COIs with many other sports club articles.
- 110.22.135.105 (talk · contribs): In this edit, refers to a person in a positive light and displays minor signs of affiliation to the club ("This all changed in 2002 under the leadership of new coach Billy Russell, when... 2004 would be one of the best seasons in Armadale's history... It has been a credit to Armadale that they have remained there to this day..."). In addition, they further emphasized an existing sentence that appears to cheer on the team (fully capitalizing "cheering on the Reds" and adding double exclamation marks)
- Armadalesoccerclub (talk · contribs): No significant modifications to the article, but the username still clearly indicates a COI. Update: Now banned. {{Lemondoge|Talk|Contributions}} 21:40, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
