Erm, the article says that he can't read or write his music - but under Ayreon it's said that Lucasson writes the music himself.

04/30/2007 I believe the article means that Arjen has no formal music training and cannot read or write "proper music notation", but he still "composes" and performs all of his own music.
Doesn't Arjen suffer from Anosmia? Should that be added to the triva section? -User:TakerVersion1 —Preceding comment was added at 22:16, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Guys, Arjen's article needs updating. Career section is years old and he confirmed in April that he's recording the next Star One album. So.. ya.

Pronunciation
[edit]Is there a way somebody could maybe cook up a .ogg file with the correct pronunciation of "Arjen Anthony Lucassen"? I'm not sure how to pronounce it, and I don't know how to read IPA. Scetoaux (talk) 01:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Merger Proposal
[edit]Ambeon is a one off project closely related to his other work and having its own page is essentially duplication. The content content can easily be merged within the article and enhance it further. Karst (talk) 23:52, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
- I agree with this. Ambeon is basically nothing but one album in the end, as nothing outside of composing and recording Fate of a Dreamer was made. To be honest I feel like the article of Fate of a Dreamer and/or Lucassen's article will countain enough information regarding Ambeon, who long dead now. --Hyliad (d), 17:19, 2 march 2015 (CEST)
- Fate of a Dreamer sounds nothing like a typical Ayreon album. It was a one off album by a group with a distinctive sound that has since broken up. While I would love to see another Ambeon album, it seems very unlikely. Yet I still expect to find a Wikipedia page on the group Ambeon. 2001:44B8:230:600:48DD:791D:154A:5DAE (talk) 11:01, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- The page itself would simply redirect to the area on the Lucassen page where the content is moved to. The problem at the moment is that the Ambeon page does not have enough references to warrant one on its own. If it stays the way it is, there is a risk that it will be deleted.Karst (talk) 08:41, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
- Agree with the facility of a move, but perhaps Fate of a Dreamer would be a better target, as most of the article is about this 'groups' one and only album. Either way, support merge. Klbrain (talk) 11:23, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- On reflection, agree that merge to the Lucassen page is better than a merge to the album. Klbrain (talk) 21:49, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
