... that Arisa Tsubata won the Japanese national boxing championship the year after she started boxing? Source: "Tsubata started boxing about three years ago to lose weight, but her training coaches quickly encouraged her to compete, and she went on to win Japan’s national boxing championship for the middleweight division in 2019. " ([1])
ALT1:... that Arisa Tsubata played the role of an athlete at the opening ceremony after her own chance to compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics was closed off? Source: "Running alone on a minimalistic treadmill as the first act of Friday’s opening ceremony, with lights and lasers shooting out from all angles, Tsubata is a Japanese boxing champion and nurse who was on track to make the Olympics. But when the International Olympic Committee ruled that the Olympic qualifying event would be cancelled and instead use world rankings as criteria for qualification, her Tokyo dream evaporated." ([2])
ALT2:... that boxer Arisa Tsubata worked to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during her training for the 2020 Summer Olympics and as a nurse? Source: "“I’m a nurse. I want to contribute to preventing the virus from spreading even if it’s only by a little,”... Her everyday work life has changed drastically in just a couple of months, as have her preparations for the Olympics. She has refrained from training at a gym, and instead does so in a well-ventilated environment, keeping her distance from other people." ([3])
Comment: Fifth nom overall, and I've only had three successful noms in the past, so no need for QPQ. Lead 2 might be a stretch; not suprised if it's criticized.
Overall: Article was created yesterday. 2,535 characters long. Contents seem to match the sources from what I can tell. Doesn't seem to be particularly biased. No evidence of copyright violations. Hooks all seem to be cited, although with the main hook I would change "the year after she started" to "less than two years after she started" as that seems to reflect what the sources say more accurately. Would not use ALT2 over the other two hooks. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 13:10, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
