Suggested addition
[edit]After undergraduate and before law school, Virani served as a Parliamentary Intern (1994/95). That's relevant information, so should be added to this page.
See e.g. his statement "As a former Parliamentary Internship Programme intern from the class of 1994-95, I am personally familiar with the benefits and opportunities that this program gives young Canadians while working for Members of Parliament here in Ottawa. I have long been a supporter of PIP and since being elected in 2015, I’ve had the benefit of having 2 PIP interns work in my office..." at https://pip-psp.org/mps/
It may be worth creating a page for PIP -- and linking to other articles, such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Hales — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2politics (talk • contribs) 22:57, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
"Upon arriving in Canada in 1972, his family found solace in the Stanley Street YMCA in Montreal."
[edit]This is POV advertorial fluff, and should be edited on that basis. The cited ref doesn't say anything about the experience, only that the Viranis were there (it doesn't even mention "Stanley Street"). Who really runs this article? Looks like a coterie of several staffers, jealously guarding this article's content since 2015. What happened in 2015? Hmm... 142.126.140.83 (talk) 14:48, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- The snark is a bit much. I've reworded to better match the source. Next time maybe don't come in guns blazing? Primefac (talk) 15:21, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
