Criticism section
[edit]There is un-encylopedic and biased language in this section. The various contributors to this page are either trying to attack or defend Wierson's reputation, rather than objectively document it.
Here are some passages from the section that have un-encylopedic language:
"The editors at the Village Voice, which at the time was still under tremendous financial pressure[40], were hoping that their extreme anti-Bloomberg stance would appeal to New Yorkers' who were upset with the Mayor's overturning of term-limits, and so it appears that the real target of the Robbin's articles (he has written 8 follow up stories on matters related to Bloomberg and NYC TV as of June, 2010) was Mayor Bloomberg"
- In this case, the wiki editor used a citation to back-up his/her point that the Voice was "under financial pressure" but then goes on to assume the intentions of their staff. How does this wiki editor know what the "hopes" of Village Voice were? ("it appears the real target" how does it "appear" that way? No proof of any kind)
Another example of biased writing from the section:
"One of Robbin's articles was particularly bizarre, in which the writer spent considerable time dissecting Wierson's personal life, and his cozy relationship with not only Bloomberg but other wealthy businessmen, royalty, and politicians. He went on to describe Wierson as "a tall man with a broad jaw, who wears his hair fashionably slicked back" and his wife, Fabiana Wierson, as "an attractive blond from Brazil."
- In this example, the same editor describes an article as "bizarre," which voices an opinion and is thus not objective enough for wikipedia. The whole paragraph seems to be quoting an article out of context an attempt to make the Voice author seem "weird" or "bizarre." How much time in an article is considered "considerable?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.108.39.20 (talk) 16:40, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
