This article was quite correctly tagged for copyright evaluation in February 2010 when a contributor noticed similarities between it and the website at [1]. However, investigation suggests (as unlikely as it seems) that they copied the information from us.

Tellingly, the information was entered here with subtle differences from its current text. Note that the last sentence says, "The metro, of course, takes its name from the street." It was months before somebody came in and changed it to read "The Métro station takes its name from the street." The external site uses the language that was introduced into the article later.

Also tellingly, the next metro in the list of that external site uses language from another Wikipedia article, introduced here by evidently yet another user. It seems very likely that this list (for which I can find no archive) compiled its information from various Wikipedia articles.

I very much appreciate the editor who brought it up for review. The Wikimedia Foundation takes copyright concerns very seriously, and we want to do all we can to ensure that the content used on Wikipedia is legally ours to display. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:15, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The metro runs on the right. In most of France trains run on the left but in Alsace-Moselle it's on the right. It is not accurate to say inverse to "rest of France" 87.244.114.207 (talk) 03:50, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
