Map error

[edit]

The colours in the map appear to be the wrong way around... the country in green is Argentina, and the country in orange is Brazil; however, the legend below identifies green with Brazil and orange with Argentina (logically, given their flag colours) 134.225.240.22 (talk) 16:43, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. The problem is due to the naming of the map image. For the template to work, the image needs to be renamed from "Brazil Argentina Locator" to "Argentina Brazil Locator". I've request the change in Commons, an admin should review it soon. Limongi (talk) 17:00, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Recent years section tone?

[edit]

I'm afraid I don't know enough to make any important changes, but I wanted to point out that in the "recent years" section of the article there is a sentence that doesn't appear to be written neutrally.

In the seventh paragraph: "(...) proof of the difficult relationship was shown during the inauguration of the Argentine president which Fernández was elected president of Argentina, displacing Mauricio Macri, Bolsonaro's right-wing ally, where he showed all his support during Macri's disastrous re-election campaign, where he was defeated by deep popular anger for his austerity policies and ineffective presidency."

I thought the reference at the end of the sentence was the source those claims, but there was no mention of the re-election. So my question is, should these comments remain as-is (and I'm worrying over nothing), be removed, or am I to look for references for them? Since I don't exactly know what to do I'll leave this message here in hopes of someone more knowledgeable in the Wikipedia ways appears. --Segaco1 (talk) 17:03, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just read and I agree with your comment (that's why I'm here). I think the paragraph Strained relations (2019-) is not neutral.

Especially the fact that the reference didn't supported the claims this paragraph made, makes my suspicious. I read the entire referenced article. The article was very critical of Bolsonaro, but did not mention the paragraph's content.

As I also don't have the knowledge concerning the topic to accurately edit the paragraph, I'd propose that the page must be edited by someone who has sufficient knowledge. The adding of extra references, which support the claims made is of course also possible. The other alternative is the removal of the paragraph. I think leaving it as it is not a desirable alternative. As was mentioned: the article doesn't appear neutral and, seen the lack of references, also not objective.

Not done for now: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. mi1yT·C 11:32, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
