What does this mean?
[edit]"Aurora completed without aircraft facilities, and had a deckhouse for accommodation in lieu for service as Commodore."
Specifically:
- "Aurora completed" completed what? "completed" is a transitive verb.
- "without aircraft facilities" The previous sentence is about lacking a second aircraft, so is this sentence about the first aircraft or the second?
- "accommodation in lieu" in lieu of what? Or is that phrase naval jargon we're expected to recognize?
- "for service as Commodore" A good guess is that the deckhouse is to be used only if a commodore is aboard, but that would be service for a commodore (the deckhouse isn't a commodore).
