10-digit dialing; VoIP providers' requirements
[edit]It is to be noted that mandating 10-digit dialing is illogical to many as long as you want to call the same area code. Hence, most VoIP providers in Montreal continue to allow 7-digit dialing, and even the last 4 digits if the 3 first are the same, for some of them.[citation needed] Posted Apr 3, 2008 by anonymous user.
- Ten-digit dialling should never have been implemented, see number pooling for what could've been done to stop wasting so many numbers. K7L (talk) 06:17, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
438 expansion
[edit]Once 438 is activated over 450, this will need to be moved back to Area code 514, as 514 and 438 would no longer be concurrent. CrazyC83 (talk) 19:43, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like it didn´t happen that way. K7L (talk) 06:17, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
