I see you guys need screenshots. I can supply screenshots from the episodes as I have them all in DVD quality.
- Then, please do so. Michael 20:28, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I say hold off until the whole debate on screenshots is settled--Will2k 19:59, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- What's the "debate on screenshots"? Or where is it? I've been doing screenshots of all the episodes to post them soon. Please let me know if I can post them or not. --Crunkier21 15:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Is it true to say that many episodes were similar to Goosebumps stories? Apart from the camera episode, are there any other examples? Dan K 12:17, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Um...Not that I can really think of.. Michael 05:05, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Goosebumps was just a ripoff of something else. There hasn't been an original kids-themed horror tale in like 30 years.

On an semi-related topic to screenshots (though not really) this weekend I'll work on adding all the episodes of - at least - the first season and a summary of each (I downloaded the show last week and can't get over that old SNICK charm). It's pretty fair game to have 1 screenshot per page, thus per episode. dkkicks 15:50, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
""The Tale of the Dream Girl" was cited by M. Night Shyamalan as the inspiration for The Sixth Sense." - Does anyone have a source for that? Krenzo 20:17, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- Pretty much googled it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167404/trivia http://www.mnightfans.com/mns/ (squidoo link blocked) 99.250.109.129 (talk) 02:44, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Every week, not night
I changed the "every night" line becuase it is wrong. They clearly state in the some peisodes that they gather once a week at night. Not every day at day. -G
Actually, as I recall, the meeting were only called when someone had a story prepared. Usually this was weekly, but that wasn't the rule. -BTS
Spoilers
Someone should get rid of all the spoilers in the episode descriptions.. I recently got the whole series on DVD, and I came to this page to see what episodes were from which season (so I could watch the ones that I sort-of remembered) and for a lot of them it gave away the whole story in the description. Such as
77. The Tale of the Secret Admirer: A shy girl gets secret admirer messages from a dead boy who sent secret admirer messages to her mother when he was alive. Told by Megan.
You find out in the end that the messages were really to her mother.. what's the point of watching the episode when you know what's going to happen in the end? (Yes I watched the series when I was younger, but I definitely did not remember everything, so I didn't want it all given away..)
Another example:
74. The Tale of the Walking Shadow: A boy is cast in the stage presentation of "MacBeth" and finds that the theater is haunted by the actors and actresses who never finished the play. Told by Megan.
You also find out in the end the real thing that is haunting the place.. that just gives it away in one sentence.

I know this is responding to a 14 month old post, but it needs to be said: Spoilers are permitted, and sometimes even required on Wikipedia. If you want spoiler-free stuff, go elsewhere. Sabre Knight (talk) 21:11, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Show inspiration
There may be some similarities between the X-Files and Are You Afraid of the Dark? but I wouldn't say there's enough to say that it is "almost completely inspired by the X-Files" unless the writers themselves have said that that is the case. With any horror-themed series, you're going to have some overlap because there are a fairly limited number of themes. One could also say that there are a lot of similarities between Are You Afraid of the Dark? and the Goosebumps books or the Twilight Zone. So unless we have valid proof of a connection between the two, it should not be included (or at the very least should not be stated as a cold hard fact). Tygartl1 15:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Look at the format of the show and tell me its just a coincidence, and also notice that it premiered after The X-Files did.-- Hrödberäht 01:53, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm going to reiterate my stance: give evidence that it is directly and "almost completely" inspired by The X-Files and it can stay. I don't have anything against The X-Files. I wouldn't be personally offended if there is a direct connection between the two. But I am not going to advocate including information that is not verified. Tygartl1 15:43, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Laughing in the dark
I changed "robbing a bank" because thats not what they say in the episode. He stole the circus freaks payroll- $4000. i just watched it now. (",)--82.38.77.108 20:21, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
I propose that this article should be moved to Are You Afraid of the Dark? and just put a dab link at the top for the novel. From what I can tell, the series is much more popular than the novel. -Joltman 17:23, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

- Support - Agreed with proposed move. The novel does not appear that notable anyway and will not likely be searched often. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (tαlk) 23:15, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support - I agree with proposal; move the show and put a template link to the novel at the top. The show seems to be more notable than the book (stub article).-NatureBoyMD 02:37, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

layout problem
so, the list of actors/characters ends randomly and the rest of list is placed by the part about dvd releases and such. I would fix that if I had any idea how to.74.97.0.206 (talk) 08:31, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
