Borough status

Borough status in the United Kingdom#Northern Ireland explains that

The 2015 local government reforms replaced the 26 districts with 11 larger districts. The "statutory transition committee" handling each council merger had the right to request transfer of borough status as in 1972

and for the other councils (Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, CAUSEWAY COAST AND GLENS, Mid and East Antrim, Antrim and Newtownabbey, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, ) I found in the Belfast Gazette the notice of the formal request being granted; but not for Ards and North Down Borough Council. Has it formally happened, or did the kerfuffle over the "East Coast Borough Council" name-change mean that no borough-status request was actually made? In the latter case perhaps the district does not actually have borough status, in spite of having the word "Borough" in its name. jnestorius^(talk) 13:27, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
