Why is this article included in "Hierarchy of the Catholic Church?"

[edit]

Why is this article tagged as belonging to a series on the "Hierarchy of the Catholic Church?" Archimandrite is not a title used in the Catholic Church, and Orthodox Christianity is not a branch or sect of Catholic Christianity. Tpkatsa (talk) 01:43, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it should be removed. Although the title exists among some Eastern Rite Catholics and there is a section in this article titled "Western usage", an archimandrite is not a part of the hierarchy and, indeed, the "Hierarchy of the Catholic Church" does not include abbots (except "Territorial abbot", which is not relevant in this context) and an archimandrite is, at most, an actual abbot or, more often nowadays, a purely titular honorary title for a priest.
