Wheat-garb claim erroneous
[edit]That was used by Ranulf de Blondeville, 6th Earl of Chester, who held the title Earl of Richmond by marriage to Constance, Duchess of Brittany. Richmond's arms are the ermine, with the leopards of England, as found on armorial born by Dukes of Brittany in right of Richmondshire, whereas their arms in right of Brittany are the ermine, with the fleur d'lys of France.
