Co-ed
[edit]"... Tenison's is one of the oldest surviving co-educational establishments in the country. It is a little known fact that Tenison's is the longest surviving mixed gender school in the world."
If it's the longest surviving mixed gender school in the world, "one of the oldest surviving co-educational establishments in the country" is too modest! I can't remember whether they told us this factoid when I was there - if I could, I'd have edited the text. [Anon. Title?
[edit]Does the title of this article not need to be the full name, i.e. "Church of England," rather than "C of E?"Jessicapierce 22:45, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tenisonsshield2.JPG
[edit]Image:Tenisonsshield2.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sports
[edit]There are several "citation needed" requests on the sports section that have been unanswered since April. I have searched the school website and prospectus and can find very little about sports at the school. That it does sports and wins occasionally does not seem to be notable. I was tempted to delete the whole section but I don't want to remove information that is probably correct and may be more notable than is apparent. If anyone can find some sources that describe the school's sporting ethos or achievements and can paste up a source, I would be happy to rewrite the section to match what is verifiable. -- Sirfurboy (talk) 12:38, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
Date of foundation
[edit]All external sources I found have the fate of foundation as 1714, but the school website says 1685. Does anyone know why there is a discrepancy? The external sources are better so we should stick with 1714 unless there is a source for 1685. -- Sirfurboy (talk) 12:51, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
