Merge
This article is very similar in scope to Arba'een. The two articles need to explain why they are different to each other or they need to be merged. The articles even share the same picture. This should have been spotted before this went to the main page. Victuallers (talk) 12:10, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose: I think you are misunderstanding two different concepts. Arba'een is a day which is of importance for Muslims specially Shia Muslims. While Arba'een Pilgrimage refers to the act of going to Karbala on foot on this day. The pilgrimage (which is done on foot), as the world's largest annual gathering, is notable enough to have its own page. There are various sources dedicated to this specific thing and not on the "day". Arba'een needs to be trimmed so that the repeated materials are deleted. Opposing I am removing more than one year old merger tag. Nannadeem (talk) 17:43, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Airport section vagueness
It's all very nice to say in the text things like "within the next two years", but from WHEN? This is vague and meaningless and rapidly outdated writing. 60.242.247.177 (talk) 00:18, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Participants/Capacity
Could anyone clarify the two figures given, for "participants" (25 million) and "capacity" (45 million) ? The annual human migration data shown at https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a9/Annual_human_migration_world_map.svg gives a figure of 40 million. LookingGlass (talk) 19:48, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- LookingGlass The difference in the number is that the 20 or 25 million is the number of visitors for a period of 15 days from 4 to 19 October 2019, which is the official census. As for the number of 40 or 45 million, it is intended to enumerate the total actual visitors for a period from August 31, 2019 until October 19, 2019.
And in this year 2020 total visitors begin from 21 august to 8 october. And some responsible of Statistics begin counting From 23 September to 8 october. [1] Amrahlawymasry (talk) 02:59, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Annual or every year?
@Saff V.: Thanks for the edit, but I think the IP's insertion of "annual" already does what you meant to convey. --Mhhossein talk 19:40, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- I think there is no different between both words. while "Annual" has repeated in next paragraph, I was going to avoid to using reiterative word by "every year" but regretfully I forgot remove Annual. Saff V. (talk) 06:21, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
- No problem, you can use either of them. --Mhhossein talk 13:06, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Either is fine. JasonMoore (talk) 20:51, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
Largest annual event.
It is proven to be the largest annual event in the world. The only other larger gathering is Kumbh Mela which only occurs once every 6 to 12 years. So it is wrong to say “one of,” rather it is. JasonMoore (talk) 20:54, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
