MG 34
[edit]Why would the armament be "MG 34's when transporting infantry"? That doesn't make much sense. The Luftwaffe used the MG 15 or MG 81 as standard armament. The infantry used the MG 42, so if they were bringing their own guns onboard for defense, they would bring the MG 42. The MG 34 was used in armored vehicles, and was the standard infantry machine gun prior to 1942. I find it hard to imagine that they set aside stocks of MG 34's just to issue to troops for use as defensive arms should they ever find themselves riding in an Ar 232. I can see if the gun ports would accept the MG 34, as well as a number of other types, but I don't see why they'd specifically design it, and expect it, to use the MG 34 exclusively.
