through Land or sea?

[edit]

i noticed the involvement of eastern Jazira coast peoples such as Al-'Ala' ibn al-Hadrami and Banu Tamim which likely comes from Oman, Bahrain and many offshore islands in this conquest.. my question is are they came to Fars through traditional land way of Iraq or they came from the gulf?

From the gulf, and no don't even think about ruining this article with your copied information which has broken English. --HistoryofIran (talk) 13:36, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Informal title chat

[edit]

@HistoryofIran: Alongside the Muslim conquest of Persia debate, it feels like this is a dead ringer for Arab conquest of Fars as the title. While the article is currently referenced in-line to just a couple of the sources, there are obviously three listed sources that all reiteratively use "Arab conquest of Iran" in their titles. "Arab conquest of Fars" is also the only title combination that generates a significant number of Google Scholar hits. I'm aware of the Pars/Fars alphabet-transliteration dilemma, but as it stands, the main sources being referenced all use 'Fars' and we also have this standout, seminal work on the subject to consider: The First Arab Conquests in Fārs - a source that I have now incorporated. I understand, please move this article as you see fit. HistoryofIran (talk) 16:30, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
