Major problem in this page

[edit]

In current continuity, Lorena is NOT said to be Aquagirl IV, but rather Aquagirl II, since the first two are out of continuity, and Tula is said to have been the first Aquagirl. If you've read the stories involving the first two, you'll agree it would have been incredibly silly to keep them in continuity. It's not hard to discard them, since most issues of World's Finest and The Brave And The Bold contained semi-imaginary stories. And everyone must remember the adventures of the 1950's Aquaman closely resembled the adventures of the weak and lame Golden Age Earth-Two Aquaman, despite being later considered to be part of the mythos of the powerful and cool Silver Age Earth-One Aquaman. --Ace ETP 03:40, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

water breath

[edit]

how can she breathe? where are her gills?

She's a superhero. While this would be a perfectly valid question to ask if you saw someone like this on TV, I think that under the present circumstances this question is more than a little pointless. Allispaul 14:12, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no, allispaul, i meant aquagirl II.

Fair use rationale for Image:BBAquagirl.jpg

[edit]

Image:BBAquagirl.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

How to spell "Mareena"

[edit]

I've changed it in the article, although if past experience is any guide, I'm sure someone will change it back, but Mareena from Batman Beyond is spelled "Mareena," not "Marina," as was in the article orignally. This was directly stated by Paul Dini, writer of Batman Beyond, on his Twitter account, when Ozzie Olin asked him, "I have a question about Aquagirl from Batman Beyond: is it spelled Merina, Marina, or Mareena? I've seen all three online." To which Paul Dini replied, "Mareena." This is the link to get to the page: https://twitter.com/Paul_Dini/status/287221444461596672 It is my sincere hope and wish that before someone reverts the article back to the way it was, that they will read the above paragraph and perhaps even follow the link, and see that Mareena is, in fact, the correct spelling of the Batman Beyond version of AquaGirl. Thank you.
