Main meaning: an order of insects

[edit]

I don't know much about insect taxonomy, obsolete or otherwise. But I do know that aptera is an order of insects -- apparently an obsolete one. [1]

The aptera article should either describe the obsolete taxon and say it's obsolete, something along the lines of this old version, or redirect to apterygota as it did for a while with a template at the top of the apterygota article saying "Aptera redirects blah blah &redirect=no". I don't know which. Maybe some day I'll do the web searches to find out, but for now I'll just add an item for the taxon. --Dan Wylie-Sears 2 (talk) 18:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
