Number of road overbridges
[edit]"One of Appleby’s few claims to fame is that it was located beside one of only two road overbridges on the entire Nelson Section which carried State Highway 60 over the railway line."
- Actually there were at least 6 such bridges on the line. Apart from the one at Annesbrook (recently demolished) and at Appleby, there were also bridges at Kawatiri (O'Donnell p.132), Gowanbridge (O'Donnell p.133), Tui (O'Donnell p.112-13) and one other (O'Donnell p.112) - location unspecified but could be Tadmor Road in the Tadmor Saddle.PatrickDunfordNZ (talk) 14:57, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- O'Donnell p.115 refers "Tadmor Road overbridge" probably the 6th bridge previously referred to. PatrickDunfordNZ (talk) 15:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
