Appenninica (sheep) → Appenninica – No need for disambiguation. Appenninica redirects to Apennine Mountains, but there is no reason for it to do so, since Appenninica is not a word in English, and even if you constructed one (e.g. as complement to "Appalachia" and similar words), it would be Apenninica, with only one p, because of how we spell "Apennine". The WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Appenninica" in English is unquestionably this sheep breed; virtually no one ever is going to type that character string in a search box here looking for the mountains. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ⚞(Ʌⱷ҅̆⚲͜ⱷ^)≼ 17:01, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support. Sounds fine to me. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:21, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support per WP:UNDAB (Yes, it's an essay, heavily edited by Yours Truly, but it reflects policy-based reasoning that applies here). --B2C 20:14, 27 March 2014 (UTC) added essay clarification. --B2C 05:29, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- Note that WP:UNDAB redirects to Wikipedia:Unnecessary disambiguation, which is neither a policy nor a guideline. It is an essay largely written by B2C. There is nothing wrong with editors creating an essay which explains their views, provided that they disclose the document's status and their own role in creating it. B2C's failure to mention his own authorship misleads others. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:28, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
