Example

[edit]

Where does the value of 12 seconds come from in the example? Is it arbitrarily defined by the app developer? Is it 4 * TARGETED_TIME? Something else? (NULL): yes, it is 4 * TARGETED_TIME (which is 3) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.149.7.248 (talk) 12:35, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Apdex Method"

[edit]

This section reads more like an advertisement than a wikipedia article:

"Proponents of the Apdex standard believe that it offers a better way to measure what matters." (emphasis original) I don't see how the beliefs of proponents are relevant in any way to how the metric is calculated.

"So it is easy to see how this ratio is always directly related to users' perceptions of satisfactory application responsiveness." Not really? The method for calculating the score is glossed over here, and there's no info on which measurements are taken into account, or how these quantities are measured.
