Deletion of Seperate Articles
[edit]Phantom kiwi, making a separate article for each year makes no sense. All those articles should be deleted/merged into this one. There is not ever going to be enough information in any of those articles to justify having them be separate articles. --Xyzzyplugh 15:15, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Article Needs Major Rewrite
[edit]This article is now a mess, due to the fact that someone was halfway through the process of adding large numbers of articles for each year's tui awards, when the process was halted by having them nominated for deletion. The articles have now all been redirected, and this article badly needs to be rewritten now. If no one else does it, I probably will eventually, but as I know nothing about the new zealand music awards, new zealand music, or even new zealand itself, my rewrite would likely consist of deleting the majority of the article and leaving a stub. --Xyzzyplugh 02:01, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I'm a New Zealander, so I'll try to work on it over the next few weeks and notify Wikiproject New Zealand. --Dom 15:45, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- I think most of the concerns Xyzzyplugh raised have been fixed - the links now point to a section of the relevant (YEAR)_in_New_Zealand page and have been organised in a nicer looking table. I've also taken care of the obvious vandalism, and I'll hopefully add a bit more information soon. Anyway, I don't think the article needs a complete rewrite anymore, just work, so I'll remove the tag. --Dom 14:23, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Missing Winners
[edit]We're now missing information on the winners of the awards from 1996 to 2004. The winners for 2006 haven't been announced yet from what I can tell --Dom 14:32, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Merger proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge the articles Robyn2000 (talk) 03:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
I propose that New Zealand Music Award for Critics' Choice Prize be merged into New Zealand Music Awards. The Critics Choice Prize is a prize category within the NZ Music Awards. While it has its own award ceremony, I don't think this makes it suitable for having its own article. It would be better suited as a sub-area within the main NZMA article.Robyn2000 (talk) 13:04, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
