[edit]- @Iztwoz I think these moves (opening --> orifice) are a step away from lay readability. Surely opening and orifice are interchangable? --Tom (LT) (talk) 23:13, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Tom (LT) - I moved these pages for consistency - right atrioventricular orifice has always been that - and just followed TA usage which I thought was to be used. Also think there's something to be said for considering what level to aim at these 'lay people'. I cannot see a problem with anyone understanding the word orifice which in my view is more appropriate for use with terminology like atrioventricular. I agree that ordinarily opening is preferable to orifice. Often it seems though that an alternative word is needed in the same paragraph and by using orifice the word opening can then be readily used. Cheers --Iztwoz (talk) 06:13, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
