NPOV
[edit]"...the charges were likely trumped up..." This statement is not NPOV, but a biased opinion. If it is true that the charges were trumped up then we need more in-text explanation, otherwise the statement will be deleted along with the claim about the Knights Templar. Confusing Summary
[edit]The second sentence of the summary for this page is a bit confusing and should, in my opinion, be edited for clarity.
The Catholic Church regards him as an antipope, as he opposed the Pope whom the Catholic Church now recognizes as the rightful successor of Saint Peter for various crimes, though later accounts question the veracity of those accusations.
This reads as if the pope sanctioned by the Catholic Church was recognized as the rightful successor to Saint Peter because of various crimes, which clearly isn't the intended meaning, unless I'm very much mistaken. I don't know anything about the subject so I'm not sure what the proper correction should be, however. -- Krenshala (talk) 23:12, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
Pope John XXIII

Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, PopeJohn XXIII from Oct 1958 until June 1963. Neelypeely (talk) 00:45, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- When Roncalli was elected in 1958, there was a great deal of uncertainty about the ordinal numbers of Pope John. Roncalli himself had to clear it up by taking the "23rd" number validly. Elizium23 (talk) 01:17, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
