I don't understand!

[edit]

Isn't he more notable than the last?! His album has been reviewed by Pitchfork. I was actually surprised that he didn't have an article. Not that it makes any difference but I listen to him all the time on Pandora. Lighthead þ 03:16, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Added a very popular DJ (and hip-hop) music magazine as reference; URB magazine. It doesn't get any more notable than that in electronic music circles. Bravo! Alfa! Papa! 21:12, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to be autopromotion

[edit]

This article is obviously autopromotion, the musician doesn't fill the requirements to be considered relevant -A7.- the references of his work are magazines not even known at Mexico, such as Pitchfork Magazine or Urb Online, and when you google this unknown musician the only mexican magazine that mentions him is Afterpop Magazine, an amateur unknown publication not even published physically at Mexico, besides I found at Facebook the Afterpop "Magazine" editor is a close friend of the musician, he had never apeared in radio or tv, and the links found at the web about him are not serious and everything is posted by himself (such as Myspace.com, facebook, tumblr or his own account in youtube), if there's not other really relevant mexican musicians listed here I don't see any reason to list such autopromotion within Wikipedia just because an unknown magazine web-page owned by his friends mentioned him a couple of years ago, besides he's not even mentioned at Wikipedia-Mexico.

The request to erase this article has been arbitrarily erased

[edit]

With weak arguments the proposal to erase this article has been deleted, but still this is not a relevant electronic musician at Mexico (wikipedia gidelines A7), if its an electronic music known somewhere else then should not been listed among mexican electronic music, obviously this is an amateur autopromotion, and if it's recognized in the U.S. it should have more than only 2 reviews in important media within that country to be considered a relevant article for Wikipedia. Pitchfork Magazine or The Urb magazines are not valid references within Mexico, nor the blogs of the musician friends. That's why this article doesn't exist in spanish, please note that the google references are in spanish so I hope the moderator who erased my proposal know how to read spanish to find those other references are personal blogs and irrelevant underground web magazines (not even printed), so if somebody have a friend within Pitchfork (someone as a journalist, just like Antiguo Automata Mexica) that is the only magazine that has mentioned this musician twice, that's not a reason to be considered relevant, the project doesn't have even a professional videoclip nor a mention within a significant media in Mexico, and the only one who defend the article is the autor so maybe some spanish-speaking (not the autor) should evaluate this again. Please note that every single video clip about this musician in the web is taken in amateur and irrelevant shows in small and uknown venues, the musical project doesn't even have an official site, just a tumblr made by himself (more amateur autopromotion) besides the autor argue that not to be considered by mexican media isn't important to erase the article, I think it's obvious that a foreign journalist that doesn't even speak spanish nor live in Mexico is not the person to say what's relevan in that country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Postculture (talkcontribs) 16:37, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
