Notability

[edit]

Neither the NIBSC demo, not the Senate house demo appear to be notable enough to warrant a mention. There are thousands of demonstrations of 50 people on issues every day, there was nothing special about these. London prophet (talk) 10:55, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We have multiple news stories about the group and it has been mentioned in Nature. There are plenty of other mentions in the news. This peer-reviewed article also mentions the group. I think it's pretty clear that they are notable. J Milburn (talk) 11:44, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not talking about removing the article, I'm talking about the two demonstrations mentioned in the 3rd and 5th paragraph - they are not notable. I mean AVC have held many demonstrations - why are these ones mentioned. A line simply saying they have organized X demonstrations would suffice. The only news covering these is local - and local news will cover many non-events not notable enough for Wiki.London prophet (talk) 17:13, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for misunderstanding; that is reasonable. I would have no objection to these sections being trimmed; perhaps a mention could remain as an example of the kind of protests the group organise. J Milburn (talk) 17:18, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
