Split request
[edit]This page includes two different topics. I think it should probably be split into two separate pages.
- I have requested this article be split into two separate articles. One regarding the Anti-NATO group of deputies in the second Russian State Duma, and the other about general opposition to NATO globally, as one is a group specific to one country, the other is a global school of thought/ideology.
- Most of the first paragraph could be put into the article about the Russian State Duma, the rest is relevant to general opposition to NATO. We probably need more information on the State Duma group, as I’m not sure whether or not it meets notability criteria for a Wikipedia article. Helper201 (talk) 17:51, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - What this page needs is a more general lede that will cover everything currently in the body. The Anti-NATO in Russia and other European countries can just be given their respective sections. This page has missing content, which requires more attention than splitting it into two more page initiatives. Darwin Naz (talk) 02:41, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- Weak Support I don't know much about the topic, but it seems like a reasonable suggestion CT55555 (talk) 21:16, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment Is there a single article here? I’m reasonably confident all 450 of 450 State Duma members are anti-NATO today. The first reference[1] is more significantly about a 1997 group in PACE. I’d like to see some evidence that this group remained a group after the one declaration. The latter half seems to be a List of European parties whose platform includes leaving NATO, which is a true thing, but are we going to compile a list for every issue in national politics?. I’d be happy moving this content to draft space, in whatever number of articles and lists. —Michael Z. 17:52, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- I think it is ripe for deletion. My very best wishes (talk) 22:28, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
- I moved this article and made Anti-NATO a disambiguation page. The split discussion is over. Super Ψ Dro 18:38, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
