Out of scope
[edit]Section "Resistance" etc.
While the information there is true, it is out of scope of the article. Poland, Hungary etc. were not part of Soviet Union.
-> Let us remove such mentions. Zezen (talk) 10:16, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
- Since there doesn't appear to be objection, I've implemented the edit. Xenophrenic (talk) 11:00, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- It is related to a payback against it so it is relevant. Apollo The Logician (talk) 14:31, 2 July 2017 (UTC) Apollo The Logician (talk) 14:31, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- There are countless examples of payback for many things over many millennia; but the subject of this article is about Anti-Catholicism in the Soviet Union. By the way, are you stalking my edits now? Just curious, Xenophrenic (talk) 15:00, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- Well in your own words "Possibly true. If you have engaged in seriously disruptive editing practices".Apollo The Logician (talk) 15:07, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- So you admit stalking an editor. What "seriously disruptive editing", please? (Only asking because I see this as going to ANI after all, and would like all the information.) Regards, Xenophrenic (talk) 15:11, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- I was looking at the persecution and religion related articles and came across your edits. That's all. Also have you seen your block log? It's ridiculously big.Apollo The Logician (talk) 15:20, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- Considering there is clearly no consensus for the removal of the resistance section (the cat aside) I will re add it.Apollo The Logician (talk) 17:26, 2 July 2017 (UTC) Apollo The Logician (talk) 17:26, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- support Apollo The Logician of keeping the resistance section.desmay (talk) 17:29, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, desmay! Unfortunately, "supporting" editors does nothing to advance the discussion. Was there a content proposal you are supporting, and if so, actual reasoning behind it? Regards, Xenophrenic (talk) 02:09, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
- As you already know, Apollo, The onus to achieve consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content. There is one concern that the content you propose adding is not within the scope of this article, which covers "in the Soviet Union". Another very serious concern is that your proposal makes statements of fact that are not supported by the cited source(s). For example, our sources do not say that Wałęsa summed up the "Polish view", but that he was speaking for himself in an interview with an Italian journalist, and he was speaking sardonically. The source also mentions nothing about "Polish nationalists linked their struggle against the Soviet Union with a struggle against atheism." Furthermore, Wałęsa's comments were not made in the context of "resistence".
- What information (from reliable sources, please) were you hoping to convey? Maybe we can craft a suitable addition. Xenophrenic (talk) 02:09, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
