I propose adding http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/5302226.stm as an external link now that Chambers Dictionary has included it. Webchat 01:55, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. Just do it. Be bold and all that... --EddieBernard 17:49, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great article — one question: amongst all that jargon, when do we get to find out just what exactly a bingo wing is supposed to be? Cheers. Muckapedia (talk) 22:27, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of "bingo wings" - not Bo' Selecta!

[edit]

Despite what the Bloomsbury Dictionary of Contemporary Slang in Britain, Third Edition, page 58 might say, as referenced in the article, 'Bingo Wings' was used by posters on the messageboard of Popbitch long before Bo' Selecta! started using it. I suspect its writer and performer Leigh Francis might have read it there and decided to borrow it. Bo' Selecta! might well ahev helped popularise the term, but it did not invent it 86.147.162.0 (talk) 11:24, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics

[edit]

It would be interesting to have some statistics on these metrics in actual populations. What the average bicep circumference is, for example, is of great interest in personal fitness. -- Beland (talk) 18:52, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
