Congratulations on your DYK mention on the main page

I don't have a reference (yet) but I doubt that the beetle feeds on synthetic carpet. I lived in an apartment which had wool carpeting and I saw them. In addition and in the same apartment, the plaster was reinforced with horse hair and the little critters probably thought this was tasty also.

Bomapoodle (talk) 02:21, 16 February 2024 (UTC) I think it would be great to learn more about the common carpet beetle's mating behavior and how it evolved. Moreover, if there is conflict between this beetle and other species/other organisms could help develop a deeper understanding of the species.[reply]
