Why does he claim to be British while having what is obviously an Australian accent?

In the show Pitchmen he adorns his office, phone and laptop with a conspicuous amount of Union Jacks, but I believe this is a cover for what is obviously an Australian accent. There seems to be some deception occurring here, and would like to see better sourcing on his background. I've conducted my own limited research and have only found his own assertions of being born in Devon and then spending his 20s pitching in London. His accent sounds nothing like that heard in Devon, or any of the many accents of London. It sounds to me to be more like that of a Metropolitan Australian, heard in cities like Brisbane or Sydney. As an aside, I've encountered an Australian claiming to be British to Americans before, so I feel there is some precedence here.

I don't think he has an australian accent. I just think he's created a hybrid english-american accent so that american audiences think that he's English, yet they can fully understand him. 68.5.217.64 (talk) 22:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
