Two gamma rays?

According to the article, "Most commonly, this refers to 511-keV gamma rays produced by a normal (negative) electron colliding with a positron."

Since 511 keV is the equivalent energy of a single electron, does this mean that two 511-keV gamma rays are produced per annihilation? Vaughan Pratt (talk) 22:11, 28 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
