Offer of a university place withdrawn
[edit]@Omnis Scientia:, this is mentioned in First women admitted to degrees at the University of Oxford.
The original version of the article said had an offer of a university place withdrawn when it was realised that she was female
, which is supported by an article on the St Anne's College website. I have added a sentence noting that the ODNB article says that her identity was known and the offer was made as a joke.
This PhD thesis has details of the correspondence on pages 78 to 80 and concludes that there can be little doubt that Daniel did in fact
know the identity of A.M.A.H. Rogers
, so on the whole I agree with the ODNB. TSventon (talk) 07:56, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
