Hi @K8shep. I did some research on Annie for my Master’s at Glasgow Uni. It’s my understanding that when Annie was young she likely attended talks and presentations by James Grant Bey, an Aberdeen-based doctor turned Egyptologist. This is likely where her initial interest came from, but more generally speaking, Egyptomania exploded all over Europe in the late 19th century. There are many Egyptian collections resulting from Victorian era excavations in museums throughout Scotland. Rharrishuffman (talk) 03:43, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be rearranging all the citations to make the sources/bibliography section cleaner, adding more about A. Quibell's work on the 1904 St. Louis world's fair, and more about her book A Wayfarer in Egypt as an important travelogueK8shep (talk) 17:42, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Today, I am starting to add my work to the article. It'll be her early life, and separating out the career section. K8shep (talk) 19:33, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
